Soaring Temperatures
Summer is upon across the U.S. and the temperatures are extreme. When its 104 degrees in the shade, it’s a great time to find a nice, cool indoor shooting range.
Indoor shooting ranges are all the rage today. They have been popping up all over Texas and I’m sure the rest of the country as well. There is nothing wrong with a well managed indoor shooting range. Sure you loose a few feet so shooting longer distances is out of the question, but you get to be inside when Texas heat gets to be unbearable. Most indoor ranges are very safe. They have dividers that help shooters stay in there lanes and some even have cinder blocks dividing private rooms. The private rooms are a really nice feature. They give you privacy and also damper the sounds from other firearms in the area. I recommend these lanes for new shooters, it allows you to get comfortable shooting without your neighbors scaring you with larger caliber firearms your first time out.
Plainly put, indoor ranges are great for a lot of reasons. If you find yourself needing to get some trigger time in but the outdoor temperatures are not on the same wavelength, find a nice temperature controlled indoor firing range. Don’t forget the ammo. Smokin’ Aces Ammo LLC is still pressing ammo for most common caliber pistol and rifles.
